Rivl is an open auction for attention. It is advertising, presented as a market, not a ranking of quality, and not a recommendation. Positions are ordered by the total amount paid for them. Payments are final.
Why say it that way
Most boards rank things and stay quiet about how. The order comes from a score, the score comes from an algorithm, and the algorithm is the part nobody explains. Rivl removes the mystery by removing the algorithm: a listing's position is the money paid for it, highest first, and where two have paid the same the one that got there first stays ahead. That is the entire mechanism.
Which means this board is advertising, and it says so on every page rather than in a disclosure nobody scrolls to. Nothing here is a review, a ranking of quality, or an endorsement. Being trusted about what this is beats pretending to be something else.
The same rule applies to the numbers. Every figure on the site is a real total from the database: listings, money pooled, bids today, clicks. There are no visitor counts and no “online now” ticker, because we don't measure those, and a board that invents one figure has given up the right to be believed about the rest.
